Another Fine Example….

of good copywriting…..this is from 1900, and refers to Carnation Brand Evaporated Milk.  You have to admit it conveys the product’s Unique Selling Point and Brand Statement as succinctly as possible, before anybody even thought about such drivel.

It wasn’t really their slogan, or able to be used in advertising, but can’t you just see some farmer as their spokesman if it was used today?

“Carnation Milk is the best in the land,

Here I sit with a can in my hand.

No tits to pull, no hay to pitch,

Just poke a hole in the son of a bitch!”

That’s about as clear a message as you can get!
